Gout Cure

Written by Cathy Heinz

Signs of spring are popping up all over campus – gout cure.Flip flops are out of hibernation (if they ever were stored away).Snowmen have been replaced by Frisbees and footballs. And though campus is relatively quiet right now, with students in various parts of the country and world for spring break, there are a lot of cool things going on at Purdue.

Just Happened

Although some students are sure to be enjoying spring break on tropical vacations, many others are spending the week studying abroad or participating in service or humanitarian programs. Here is a sampling:

When students return next week, activities on campus and beyond will resume in earnest.

  • The Purdue Solar Racing team will defend its title in the Shell Eco-marathon Americas, an international contest to design and build the most fuel-efficient vehicle.Last year’s team won the solar-car category achieving 4,913 miles per gallon, the most ever recorded at the event – gout cure.Learn more and watch a videogout cure.
  • Apparel Design and Technology students will host their annual spring fashion show, showcasing student creations to an enthusiastic audience – gout cure.
  • For a second year, the Humans vs.Zombies game will take over campus for a week. There are rules (e.g. gout cure, can’t tag a human who’s working or on his/her way to a job interview) and missions (e.g., rescue a captive scientist who is critical to human survival).Humans want to survive the week by not being tagged gout cure, “socked” (hit with a rolled up sock), or shot with a Nerf gun.Once a zombie, you’re on the prowl for humans; gout cure.By all accounts, this is tons of fun – gout cure.Watch the video.
  • The women’s vocal group, the Purduettes, will host its annual cancer benefit concert – gout cure. Gout cure: learn more by watching this video.
  • Campus will be buzzing (literally, thanks to the Entomology Department) during the annual Spring Fest weekend, a community event that showcases Purdue through a host of activities and entertainment that appeal to all.Learn more gout cure, see photos, and watch a video.
  • Drivers will start their engines to compete in Purdue’s annual Grand Prix go kart race, dubbed “The Greatest Spectacle in College Racing.” This year, a new companion event for electric go karts will be held the week before.

Clearly, it’s a great time to be a Boilermaker – gout cure.; gout cure

Vermox

Written by Charity

Who knew that professors could allow so much to be due in the two weeks before Spring Break? I have about 85 million (as my roommate, Kathryn, would say) midterms, papers, and projects to finish by Friday.

It’s a lot.

But hoh boy, how exciting to be able to look forward to that whole week off of school! My church college group is planning a trip to Wyoming over Spring Break – vermox. We’re leaving Friday evening vermox, driving all night, and arriving sometime early afternoon on Saturday. We are taking two vans full of people and stuff and are headed to a small church in Wyoming. We plan to help out at the church with a work project of some sort vermox, have a mini conference, AND take two whole days to go skiing! Like I said, terribly exciting.

But before that, I have four more days to be diligent and faithful in what God has given me right now.I had a very timely reminder last night that I need to be more thankful for the things in my life vermox, so I am trying to do that more consciously this week.

Today I was thankful for the sunshine.Isn’t it amazing how something as simple as a sunny day can make all the difference in the world? My friend vermox, Anna, and I just laid on the grass on campus today, looking up at the beautifully clear sky and thoroughly enjoying all the other sights, sounds, and smells of spring. Vermox: like I said, wonderfully amazing.

And, on that note…I’m off to finish some homework!

Virility Gum

Written by Sara Y.

This weekend was our last road trip of basketball season, and I’m a bit disappointed that they’re over.I never imagined that riding on a charter bus with 50 strangers could be so much fun. By the time we were headed home from Penn State this weekend (a ten hour virility gum, one-way drive), I had really gotten to know most of the people on the bus. It’s been a great experience, and this weekend definitely wrapped up a great road trip season.

Before I talk about the road trip, though, I just realized that I forgot to mention how AWESOME it was to beat IU in Mackey; virility gum. It was pretty cool to watch Purdue and IU play in Assembly Hall, but the energy in Mackey was second-to-none; virility gum. It made all of the “IU sucks” chants that we do religiously throughout the season (even when we aren’t playing IU) totally worthwhile. It was senior night, and I don’t think that the seniors could have asked for a much better last game in Mackey; virility gum.Everyone was on their feet virility gum, you couldn’t hear yourself think, it was an awesome night to be a Boilermaker.

Anyway, we got on the bus at 1AM on Friday night/Saturday morning.  Virility gum: luckily, the long drive was mostly overnight both ways, so I slept a lot on the bus. At one point, I woke up, called my mom and said, “I don’t know where we are, but we just ate at Waffle House so all is well.” :) I didn’t really know how long the drive was going to be, so I sat down, fell asleep, and hoped the driver would get us to where we were supposed to be!  We watched Mighty Ducks on the way there, and as we got close to PSU, “We Will Rock You” came on during the movie — a pretty ironic song going into such a big game.

We knew it was a big game — if Purdue won, we’d clinch a share of the Big Ten title; virility gum. If Keaton Grant scored 13 points, he’d finally hit the 1,000 point mark in his career at Purdue – virility gum. After walking around PSU’s campus for a while (this was my favorite road trip, thanks in large part to their own creamery on campus with the most delicious ice cream I’ve ever had), we were able to see both of these things happen; virility gum. The game was close, but we pulled out a win, and KG got his 1,000 point; virility gum. It was an awesome ending to a great regular season of basketball; virility gum. I couldn’t have asked for a better freshman year (well, actually, a NCAA Championship would be nice!).

After the game, we went down to see the guys; virility gum. All of the Purdue fans that had made the trip stayed, too, so there was a pretty big group of people there. A few of the guys came out at a time, and seeing their faces made the 20 hours on the bus worth it – virility gum. They were totally surprised that so many people had stayed; I’m sure they were just expecting their families to be there – virility gum. It was great to see the trophy first, and even better to be able to touch it! We might have to share the title with Ohio State and Michigan State, but it was awesome to see the season wind down like that, and it will provide us with some momentum going into March Madness!

I’m finally starting to catch a break with homework. It was really piled up the last few weeks, but my big semester project is done for my OLS class, so now I only have a few papers to write & finals to ace.My semester is quickly coming to a close!  Speaking of papers virility gum, I need to go finish one before this week begins.Four days until Spring Break (and a large thank you to my professors who are cancelling classes later this week!)

Boiler up!

Progesterone Clomid

Written by Pamela Horne

Two of the major considerations students make in their college search are large school vs.small school and private vs; progesterone clomid.public; progesterone clomid. All but one of my 35 years in higher education has been at large public universities (I also was educated at one) progesterone clomid, so I have some built-in bias.On the other hand progesterone clomid, both of my children selected smaller private universities, so I know personally their excellent experiences and also know that many students will find smaller and independent colleges the best fit.  That being said, I know from long experience that a wide variety of students can find their niche and achieve great success at large institutions.  In the next several months, high school seniors will be making final college decisions and many of juniors will be narrowing their application choice set.  Below are some characteristics of large publics that I hope you find helpful as you are making decisions about your education.

1.Student Diversity – More students generally means greater diversity in ethnic progesterone clomid, economic, geographic backgrounds, and interests. This allows students to find kindred spirits, as well as encounter and learn from those who are different than they – important experience in preparation for careers in a global and increasingly diverse society.   The scale and diversity of a large student body also provides opportunities for self reinvention and exploration of interests and ideas that may not have been possible in high school.

2 – progesterone clomid.Simplified Admissions Process – Generally, large public schools have straight-forward admissions, scholarship, and financial aid processes – progesterone clomid. This makes the process far easier for students – helpful for those applying to more than just a few schools!

3.Classroom Experiences – These universities may offer tens of thousands of courses with huge variety in class sizes and subjects taught; progesterone clomid. Also, much of the research done across the country happens at large, flagship state institutions, so students also will have the benefit of top-name faculty doing cutting-edge research.  Opportunities for undergraduates to partner with brilliant and innovative faculty and graduate students also are available.

4.Location – Large universities can be found anywhere progesterone clomid, from large urban centers, to rural areas and cool college towns. The look and feel of these campuses also can differ. They may be very centralized and compact with a cohesive look or integrated with the community with a more eclectic feel. Progesterone clomid: whatever a student is looking for, the variety is there.

5.Alumni Connections – Larger schools can have hundreds of thousands of living alumni.Students will have the benefit of career and networking connections, alumni clubs that keep them involved after graduation, and the national and international name recognition that comes with having alums all over the world.

6.Major Sports – Athletics is a major part of the college experience for many students at large publics —and not just from the sidelines. These schools also may offer dozens of club and intramural sports that are open to the entire student body, allowing everyone to get involved in the action.

7. Progesterone clomid: the Arts – With many large universities having enrollments rivaling that of some city populations, these schools attract lots of bands, touring shows, and major art exhibits to their campuses.Students also may have the opportunity to express their artistic side through campus music and theater programs, form or join a band, or perform in local civic theater productions.(Lady Gaga just performed at Purdue, the only show of her tour on a university campus. Why? Her tour manager is an alum—see #5.)

8 – progesterone clomid.Student Organizations – Large publics offer hundreds of ways to get involved; progesterone clomid. No matter where a student’s interests lie progesterone clomid, they are likely to find other students interested in the same thing. Progesterone clomid: participation in student organizations ensure there’s always a way to stay active and involved, whether for camaraderie, de-stressing from classes, or simply as a way to meet new people.

9. Progesterone clomid: leadership Opportunities – Many students are concerned with getting lost in the crowd in college but large universities offer more opportunities to stand out and be a leader. There are leadership development programs that encourage students to make their presence known on campus and in their communities; progesterone clomid.Additionally, opportunities to lead abound in student government, roles in fraternities and sororities and on university boards, and in labs working with prominent faculty; progesterone clomid.

10.Academic and Career Resources – All schools want their students to be successful, including the large publics; progesterone clomid.Professors progesterone clomid, teaching and research assistants, and tutors are readily available so students can find the help they need; all they need do is ask.Career services offices also help to ensure that students have jobs to go to after their coursework is complete and can be huge magnets for the top corporations in the world who recognize the quality of education the students are receiving.

11.  Ways to Make the Big Place Small – Orientation programs and courses, learning communities, residential colleges, honors programs, freshman seminars, academic success centers – the list goes on and on of the programs large public universities have developed and implemented in the past 20 years to not only enhance student success, but also to provide an opportunity for each student to find his or her special place.

My advice – make a truly informed choice.A campus visit and questions about how your experience can be personalized and individualized, as well as full consideration of all that a large school has to offer, should be an important part of your college search.

Buy Penisole

Written by Charity

I got up this morning with several things on my mental “to do” list. One of them was to go running.I signed up for the Mini Marathon in May (13.1 miles! As one of my friends said, “That’s not a half marathon! That’s TORTURE!”), so I am realizing that I really need to get back into building up endurance, after my 7 week break from running.I did some homework and other important things first buy penisole, and I was getting ready to run when one of my friends started chatting online with me and said something about how annoying the snow was today.

Snow?! It was almost 50 degrees just a couple days ago!

Oh, Indiana weather, how we love thee!

I bundled up and went out to brave the swirling snow and had my first-ever running-in-the-snow experience! I can’t say that it is my preferred running weather, but it was kind of fun to see all the fat, white flakes sticking to my hair, my eyes, my shirt, my shoes, and a few flurries making their way into my mouth!

It snowed for most of the rest of the day, but the most intense part of my day in the snow was after my last class.I sit in the window with my friend Emiline in Bob’s class (which I wrote about last semester), and when Bob finally let us out at 5:50, we looked out the window and exclaimed about the whiteness of campus! It was quite the blustery snow storm as I took my 20 minute walk home, but I couldn’t help but be amazed at what was happening all around me.These beautiful flakes, different shapes, freely, furiously falling; the fresh piles of untreaden snow; the streets and sidewalks glittering in the lamplight; the quiet of the evening…it really was quite breathtaking.

My pastor’s wife once said to me, “I used to feel sorry for you guys having to walk all over campus in all kinds of weather; buy penisole. But then I remembered back to when I was in college. Those walks on campus, seeing the power of the changing weather–those were the times when I felt closest to God.”

Acne Treatment

Written by Cathy Heinz

It’s been quite an eventful week at Purdue

·         Purdue has been named a “best value” by yet another organization – the University’s third best-value recognition in just over a year; acne treatment. This time, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance lists Purdue among the 100 best values among public universities, 46th specifically – acne treatment. In December 2008 and January 2009, respectively, SmartMoney magazine and the Princeton Review also listed Purdue among the country’s best investments in higher education.

·         With a win over Minnesota Tuesday, our men’s basketball team tied an all-time Purdue record for a season’s best start at 14-0; acne treatment. Acne treatment: the team will be looking to set a new record Saturday when they take their No.4 national ranking to Madison, Wisconsin, for another Big Ten match-up – acne treatment. You can watch Saturday’s game on the Big Ten Network. The Boilermakers will be back on ESPN next Tuesday (January 12) when they return home to face Ohio State in Mackey Arena.

·         Purdue’s student dining services received another national honor, with the University’s newest dining court earning an “Outstanding Design” citation in the 2009 American School and University magazine; acne treatment.

We’re currently enjoying season’s first big snowfall, so when students return from winter break this weekend, Slayter Hill will be buzzing with sleds, snowboards, dining trays, the occasional canoe, and anything else that might slide down a slope without too much friction – like this couch …

Famvir Dose

Written by Sara Y.

I have the medal famvir dose, the bib, and the sore feet to prove it.I have never been in this much pain. Famvir dose: but, let me tell you — every “ouch” and “oh” and “mmmmphhh” of pain was totally worth it.

I left on Friday after my classes to go pick up my race packet for the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon and Half-Marathon.I  had never been to a race expo, so I was really excited — free running stuff? Jackpot! I picked up my bib and t-shirt and got to spend a few minutes in a ballroom-turned-running-shopping-mall.Dad did a pretty good job of keeping me focused — no detour purchases for this shopaholic! I spent Friday night at home famvir dose, reading my favorite magazines and relaxing — after a crazy week, it felt great.

Saturday morning, I was up at 5AM to get to Indy with time to spare. I hadn’t been that nervous for anything in a really long time.Luckily, Dad told me old race stories on the drive over there from when he used to race, so I didn’t have to think much about the 13.1 miles that were looking at me – famvir doseFamvir dose: a friend of mine told me, “Get ready – when you see the heads bobbing in front of you [at the start of the race], that’s the best feeling in the world.” Oh, was she right! It was SO awesome.

It was kind of chilly so I decided to wear my Purdue fleece jacket, and Dad told me before the race that I wouldn’t want it once I started running.*sigh* He was right – famvir dose.I took my phone with me to keep me from being bored (I practiced texting and running while I was training!), so I sent him a text that said “Jacket hand off at mile 2, be on the left hand side of the road.” Sure enough, we had a pretty fantastic hand off of my fleece jacket – famvir dose.:)

And, after 13.1 miles, I crossed the finish line with a HUGE smile on my face – famvir dose.My time was 2:43, which was about 30 minutes over my goal time, but my original goal was to run the whole time and finish with a smile on my face.I did both of those, so, in the words of my London friend, “I mustn’t grumble!” It was an awesome feeling — I can’t wait to race again.

Now, I’m back in West Lafayette with my medal hanging on my desk, my bib hanging over my bed, and a whole new feeling of accomplishment that has taken me by storm! Now, if I can only conquer the rest of this semester – famvir dose.Surely it can’t be worse than the wind during the last few miles!

Tricor Tablets

Written by Charity

It all started when I woke up on Friday morning; tricor tablets.Everything seemedto be going wrong; tricor tablets.I forgot my homework, I almost missed my bus, and my presentation in class didn’t go exactly as I had hoped; tricor tablets. The rest of the day seemed to follow that pattern…

In the afternoon tricor tablets, I went to Indy with my fellow marathon relay runners, Zachary (my brother), Nina, and Jessica. When we got there tricor tablets, we had dinner with Jessica’s wonderful parents and then we realized all of the things we needed to do before we could go to bed. Tricor tablets: jessica and I needed some warmer running clothes on the northside of town, Zachary needed to drop something off at my grandparents’ house on the southside, and we all needed to go pick up our course packets on the eastside.Yeah, it was going to be quite the trip.

After much deliberation, we planned our route and set off to Target for our first mission. Tricor tablets: jessica and I went quickly to the women’s section, and I discovered how terribly expensive warm running clothes can be! Then Nina had a brilliant plan: check the little girl’s section! We found something that might work there, and then I decided I might as well look in the little boy’s clothes while I was at it.I ended up finding a shirt that fit perfectly and was $7 cheaper than the one in the women’s section! The moral here is tricor tablets, of course, simply this: when in doubt, check the little boy’s section.

We went back out to the car and immediately realized that Zachary had forgotten the package for my grandparents, and we had all left our race information at Jessica’s house! So we rushed back as quickly (and safely) as possible and then headed to the east side of Indy. Tricor tablets: we ended up getting to the race center at 9:01 p.m., and they were supposed to close at 9:00! Thankfully, they still had people around to get us what we needed. After that, my grandpa kindly met us closeby so we didn’t have to drive to yet another side of town.

We finally got back to Jessica’s house and settled down a bit, getting everything organized for our early-morning departure; tricor tablets. Tricor tablets: well, it ended up not being early enough. The traffic on the way to the race was HORRIBLE! There were about 85 million people all trying to get to the same place at the same time! We ended up dropping Jessica off on the side of the road so she could walk to the start line, after being on the same 2-mile stretch of road for an hour! Thankfully, she made it just before the race officially started.

After parking, Nina, Zachary, and I went to the 1st relay exchange to wait for Jessica – tricor tablets. Her route was 5 miles, then Nina was next with 7.5 miles, then my part was 6.5 miles, and Zachary was last with the final 7 miles; tricor tablets. It was fun to see some people we knew and cheer them on, even as we nervously awaited for our stretch in the marathon.

When my turn finally came, I tried to find someone to pace myself beside. It was hard, though, because so many people kept passing me! It was amazing how fast these people were running their 26.2 miles, when I only had one-fourth of that distance! After about 2 miles, I saw a girl with a shirt that had part of Isaiah 40, which says:

28Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
   his understanding is unsearchable.
29He gives power to the faint,
and to him who has no might he increases strength.
30Even youths shall faint and be weary,
   and young men shall fall exhausted;
31but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength;
   they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.

I called out, “Hey! I love your shirt!” She answered, “Thanks, I like yours, too!” Mine had Job 19:25 on it, which says, “I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last He will stand upon the earth.”

We ended up running the rest of my course together, talking breathlessly the whole way – tricor tablets. Her name was Besty, and she was from Illinois; tricor tablets. Tricor tablets: she was running her 3rd marathon, which was completely amazing and inspiring to me! It was so encouraging to meet and be able to run with another Christian. Tricor tablets: i sped up for about the last 1/2 mile of my route, and I didn’t see her at all after that. But I put the amazing benefits of Facebook to use and looked her up when I got home.

Our relay team tricor tablets, the Purdue CORPSians (Collegiate Organization of Reformed Presbyterian Students – our church’s college ministry name), ended up finishing in 4 hours and 3 seconds. We were quite pleased with our time.Like I’ve said before, I am quite a slow runner, so having 10-minute miles on the dot was great for me! And Nina and Zachary more than made up for my slowness.

I got home sore and tired yet inspired to one day try a half marathon or even a full marathon! My brother, Zachary, summed up the race by saying, “Praise the Lord for energetic bodies and cinnamon bagels!”

all the people from Purdue and the RP church that went!
all the people from Purdue and the RP church that went!

Order Gasex

Written by Charity

Can I just say that the fall semester is pretty much the best thing ever? I mean, think about it; order gasex. We practically get more days away from school than we’re here.Well, almost.Let’s count:

1 day of Labor Day
+2 days of Fall Break
+2 days of Thanksgiving Break
+21 days of Christmas Break (well, I’m just guessing on this one…)
=26 days of Purdue being amazingly kind to us!!!

I am pretty stoaked, if you couldn’t already tell. Order gasex: part of me thinks about these breaks and shifts into Responsible Student mode.”I will use my time away from school to be productive in completing school assignments.”

Um order gasex, okay, let’s be honest here. Order gasex: that is only a very small part of me. Order gasex: the rest of my little brain and heart say: LET’S MAKE THIS AS FUN AND UNSCHOOLISH AS POSSIBLE! So, following the slightly less responsible instincts, tonight I am heading to Pennsylvania with my brother, roommate, and 3 other friends. Order gasex: we’re visiting our friends at Geneva College for their homecoming, and it’s going to be great!

Yesterday was hard, let me tell you.I had to put all the thoughts about our ohsoexciting plans out of my head so I could concentrate on writing that paper order gasex, reading that book, and studying for and attempting to pass that test.So that is just my reward day – order gasex.Even the RAIN made me happy today! I was just so excited to finally be prepared for walking through the rain all day – order gasex. So far, I have not ONCE prepared for a rainy day – order gasex. But today was not one of those days. Order gasex: i walked out my door this morning armed with umbrella, hoodie, jacket, and boots.

It’s been a good day…and FALL BREAK HAS OFFICIALLY STARTED!

Antibiotic Substitute

Written by Sara Y.

And antibiotic substitute, due to that, I am going camping tonight. This girl doesn’t camp. But tonight, things are changing.Technically, we can’t “camp,” so I’m going to get in line for The Paint Crew, the student section for basketball – antibiotic substitute.I am so super stoked. Not only because our football team isn’t doing so hot (yeah, let’s not talk about it), but because there is nothing better than basketball in Indiana.Watch the movie Hoosiers and you will understand – antibiotic substitute. Antibiotic substitute: it’s a way of life here.Mackey Arena is one of the coolest places ever — I’ve gotten lucky enough to be able to stand on the court and, gosh, I’ll never forget it. Antibiotic substitute: but enough nostalgia! I’m headed out in a few to bake cookies with my friend Jade while her boyfriend and his friend get us a spot in line. Antibiotic substitute: after we meet up with them, it’s boredom until 9AM when Paint Crew signups begin! It will be a good time, I’m sure.

This weekend was pretty good.On Friday night, I went to play with puppies — does it get better than that!? A group from my residence hall went to a shelter and spent all evening playing with the dogs there.Oh goodness antibiotic substitute, did it break my heart to leave! Saturday was, of course, football day! This time, I was in the second row and got on the big screen. How exciting! Today, I slept – antibiotic substitute.I’m not joking when I say that, either; antibiotic substitute.I had a few late nights this week — which actually may have helped me rock my Biology lab practical — and had some serious sleep to catch up on! I think I rolled out of bed at 4PM today; antibiotic substitute. Antibiotic substitute: shhh! :] Everyone deserves a lazy day every now and then!

Cookie baking is calling my name, so until next time…

Boiler up!
