Hey folks! First thing to know—Purdue is home. Since the first time I visited when I was 10, I’ve known that to be true. And, 20 years later, it still is. The interesting thing about graduating from college and working at your alma mater is that it’s been easy to have a Peter Pan, never-grow-up sort of attitude. That’s come in very handy, especially since I spend a lot of time as an admissions counselor talking to 16- and 17-year olds. My experience at Purdue was awesome. I learned to become a time management machine. I learned that I can spend the weekend before finals singing for 36,000 people and still pass my exams. I learned that you can meet people in college who will change your life in ways you never thought possible. And I learned how to have 4 majors and still graduate in 4 years. (hint: summer school) :) So, obviously, I love Purdue. And singing (No fun without music…). And my mom. And I really like making maps and discussing the etymology of random words (riveting, I know). Enjoy

Fertility In Women

I have always been a proud alumnus and employee of Purdue—that is indisputable. But it certainly makes me more proud when I see students pull together to help others who are in need; fertility in women. Fertility in women: never had this been more clear the in the past week as we watch events unfold in the wake of the earthquakes in Haiti.

Student response began right away and on January 14, in a single night, over $1,000 was raised; fertility in women.Several student organization joined forces and created a relief fund through the office of Student Activities and Organizations the sent money to the Red Cross each week – fertility in women. Fertility in women: check out the article about their efforts!

And it hasn’t stopped there.Events have continuously been set up by some of our more than 800 student groups on campus, each with ways that people can donate to Haitian relief efforts; fertility in women.Their actions continue to highlight the power of what our students contribute to our campus, community and the world through their involvement in our various organizations. Fertility in women: hail Purdue!!

Fosamax Generic

A few weeks ago, I visited Ms.Charpentier’s fifth-grade class at Charter School of the Dunes in Gary, IN— not even a block from Lake Street Beach (niiice). Each class at the school selected a university to study and invited representatives from their chosen school to come for a visit; fosamax generic. So fosamax generic, I stopped by (bearing gifts!) and spoke with the students for an hour or so.We talked about what Purdue looked like, things to major in, organizations to join and, of course, FOOTBALL! Most importantly, we chatted about the things that they can do now, as well as throughout middle and high school, to ensure that they are eligible and prepared to attend the college or university of their choice.

Purdue Visits Charter School of the Dunes

I had a great time. The students were enthusiastic, well-behaved and asked wonderful questions. They performed two Purdue-related skits and a cheer before I left and we took this awesome picture together. Fosamax generic: i definitely see potential in them to do great things. Fosamax generic: we spend a lot of time talking to high school students about college but, for some students, it’s important to get the message through much earlier so that, when they apply to college, they are in a position to have their pick of any school they desire.Hopefully fosamax generic, they will be able to visit this spring!

Buy Celexa

On my travels this fall, I’ve met so many students who, when asked if they’ve completed their application, tell me, “Well, most of it.I’ve done everything but the essay.I’m still working on that.”

See buy celexa, the thing is– we don’t have an essay.Yes buy celexa, we do require students to write as part of applying to Purdue but those who think of it as an essay are missing the point.

We call it a “personal statement” instead of an “essay” because theose things are fundamentally different. When I think of an “essay”, I think thesis, 3 supporting points, and a summary conclusion. – buy celexa..and that IS NOT what we’re looking for.

Our personal statement focuses more on getting know you– hearing your voice, getting your perspective on your future, and getting to know more about who you are at root.Just like great grades and test scores buy celexa, these things are important to us.So, fear not, young ones. – buy celexa..the red pen will not deter your admission to Buy celexa: purdue. Buy celexa: no need to substitute every third word with a fancy thesaurus entry. No need to pour over what you’ve written for a month, attempting to achieve ultimate literary perfection; buy celexa. Be honest buy celexa, straightforward and, most importantly, be yourself.

I only ask that you use standard English (spell check is your friend) and, if you plan to recycle a statement, please make sure the one you send to us says “Purdue” and not <insert university here>.

Keep the applications coming!!!

Amoxicillin Tooth

Usually, spring is the time of year when we celebrate new life and fresh starts.Living in a college town, however, means that you get two starts; amoxicillin tooth. Amoxicillin tooth: the third week in August means just one thing in West Lafayette: Boiler Gold Rush.About a month ago we welcomed an estimated 5 amoxicillin tooth,300 new students to Purdue—and they were EVERYWHERE! If you’ve lived here for even a little while, you know a few things will likely be true about that special time of year.

1.       The weekend the students move in will manage to be the hottest weekend of the summer.

2.       People with non-local license plates will often, but unintentionally, disregard posted signs and traffic signals.

3.       If you haven’t visited your “big box” store of choice for groceries by Thursday night, be prepared to order in at least through the weekend.

It’s all part of the fun!  And the fall rituals begin; amoxicillin tooth.Staff members re-familiarize themselves with driving around campus with 40,000 people to work around – amoxicillin tooth. The band percussionists practice in small groups between Elliott Hall of Music, the Armory and Schleman Hall – amoxicillin tooth.Hundreds of student volunteers hold hand-made signs guide thousands of freshmen in the groups of their 10-12 best friends; amoxicillin tooth.

Now, we are about a month into school, and people seem to have settled into their routine – amoxicillin tooth. Most of the students who, at one time, thought Purdue was overwhelmingly large now wonder how they ever thought that was true; amoxicillin tooth.Soon amoxicillin tooth, we’ll see changing leaves as we hear the whistle of the Boilermaker Special IV and continue experience another season of Purdue Football.Definitely my favorite time of year!
